PURE EV, a startup from Hyderabad, has launched an electric two-wheeler called ecoDryft. It is aimed at the commuter market and claims to be the first to offer an e-bike for this segment in India.
The EcoDryft features a 3.0 kWh AIS 156 certified battery pack that is paired with a 3 kW motor, according to Pure EV. The battery offers a claimed range of 130 km on a single charge. The company also claims that the bike can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 10 seconds and has a top speed of 75 mph.
This electric bike has three driving modes and four color options. These are: Drive mode (45 mph), Cross Over mode(60 mph) and Thrill mode(75 mph).
In terms of design, this electric bike comes with an angular headlamp, five-spoke alloy wheels, a single-piece seat, etc. It has a kerb weight of 101 kg and a payload capacity of 140kg.
It’s powered by an AIS 156 certified 3.0 kWh lithium ion battery that is able to give a 135km on-road range, according to the company. The bike’s EV powertrain is able to produce 4 BHP and 40 Nm of torque.
